The Bihar government on Saturday appointed senior IPS officer S K Singhal (IPS:1988:BH) as the Director General of Police (DGP) of the state. He has been holding the additional charge of DGP after then state police chief Gupteshwar Pandey (IPS:1987:BH) took voluntary retirement from service in September. Prior to this appointment, he was hold the post of DG-cum-Commandant General of Bihar Home Guards and Fire Services. He will retire of August 31, 2021.
