REC Limited Sanctions ₹4.22 Cr for 100 Smart Classrooms in Assam

REC Limited has sanctioned ₹4.22 crore under its CSR initiative to establish 100 smart classrooms in government schools across Assam's Lakhimpur and Kaziranga regions.

Reinforcing its commitment to strengthening education infrastructure through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), REC Limited has sanctioned ₹4.22 crore for the project, “Establishing 100 Smart Classrooms in 100 Government Schools in the Lakhimpur and Kaziranga regions of Assam.” The initiative aims to enhance the quality of education by integrating digital learning solutions into government schools and creating an engaging, technology-enabled learning environment for students.

A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for the project was signed on July 2, 2026, at REC Limited’s Corporate Office in Gurugram between L. B Nautiyal, HoD (CSR), REC Limited, and B Vinod Kumar, Director, Indo German Institute of Advanced Technology (IGIAT). The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Arun Kumar Tyagi, Executive Director (CSR), REC Limited, and other officials from REC Limited and IGIAT.

Through its CSR initiatives, REC Limited continues to make meaningful investments in education, healthcare, skill development, environmental sustainability, and community development, contributing to inclusive and sustainable socio-economic growth across the country.
