Senior IAS officer Rajeev Singh Thakur (IAS:1995:RJ) has been appointed as the Chief Secretary of Manipur following his inter-cadre deputation from the Rajasthan cadre to Manipur.
Thakur will hold the charge of Chief Secretary (DP/Cabinet/Planning). He has also been assigned the additional responsibilities of Chief Vigilance Commissioner and Principal Resident Commissioner, Manipur Bhawan, New Delhi.
Prior to his appointment, Thakur was serving as Adviser, NITI Aayog. He replaces Dr Puneet Kumar Goel (IAS:1991:AGMUT), who superannuated on August 31, 2026.
