Punjab govt transfers 11 IPS officers; Anita Punj posted as Spl DGP, HRD & Welfare

The Punjab government on Monday (June 1, 2026) ordered the transfer and posting of 11 IPS officers with immediate effect in an administrative reshuffle affecting field policing, prison administration and training institutions.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Anita Punj (IPS:1994:PB), who was serving as Special Director-cum-Director, MRS PPA Phillaur, has been transferred and posted as Special DGP, HRD and Welfare.
2. Pradeep Kumar Yadav (IPS:2002:PB), who was serving as IGP Technical Services, with additional charge of Resident Commissioner (Police Coordination), Punjab Bhawan, New Delhi, has been posted as IGP Technical Services.
3. Dhanpreet Kaur (IPS:2006:PB), Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, has been transferred and posted as Director, MRS PPA Phillaur.
4. Satinder Singh (IPS-SPS:2010), DIG Ludhiana Range, has been transferred and appointed Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar.
5. Vivek Sheel Soni (IPS:2011:PB), Commandant, 75 Battalion PAP, Jalandhar, has been assigned the additional responsibility of looking after the work of DIG Border Range, Amritsar.
6. Surinderjit Singh Mand (IPS-SPS:2011) has been posted as DIG Prisons.
7. Kanwaldeep Singh (IPS-SPS:2011) has been posted as DIG Law and Order.
8. Sandeep Kumar Sharma (IPS-SPS:2011) has been posted as DIG, PAP-II, Jalandhar.
9. Sandeep Goel (IPS-SPS:2011), DIG AGTF-II, Ludhiana with additional charge of DIG Border Range, Amritsar, has been transferred and posted as DIG Ludhiana Range.
10. Suhail Qasim Mir (IPS:2017:PB), SSP Amritsar Rural, has been posted as AIG Personnel-I.
11. Pragya Jain (IPS:2017:PB), SSP Faridkot, has been transferred and posted as AIG Law and Order.
