The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has selected Nitin Khamesra for the post of Director (Finance) in The Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) Limited. The selection was made during the PESB interview held on October 22, 2025.
Mr. Khamesra is presently serving as Chief General Manager (Shipping) at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL). His name has now been forwarded to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval, subject to the requisite vigilance clearances.
If approved by the ACC, Khamesra will succeed C I Acharya, the incumbent Director (Finance), who is scheduled to retire on March 31, 2026. Acharya has been serving in the post since June 2022.
Notably, the PESB had invited applications for the position on July 11, 2025, with the application deadline set for August 7, 2025. A total of 11 candidates were shortlisted and interviewed by the Board.
