Niten Chandra appointed as Secretary, Department of Legal Affairs

Niten Chandra (IAS:1990:OR) has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Legal Affairs on Saturday (07.05.2022). According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Chandra to the post from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Prior to this order, he was serving as Additional Secretary, Central Agency Section, Department of Legal Affairs.
