G P Singh (IPS:1991:AM), the Inspector General of National Investigation Agency has been repatriated to Assam amidst rising protests in the Guwahati and other parts of the state against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2019. The NIA top brass will oversee the Law and Order situation as ADG across the state.
