Ms. Neerja Kapur has been appointed as the new Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of New India Assurance Company Limited (NIACL). According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Sunday (11.09.2022), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of Department of Financial Services to appoint Ms. Kapur to the post with effect from the date of assumption of charge of office and up to the date of her attaining the age of superannuation i.e. 30.04.2024. or further orders, whichever is earlier. Presently, she is General Manager, NIACL.
