A spate of positive COVID cases in the higher echelons of Madhya Pradesh health department seems to have shaken the state government. Additional Chief Secretary Mohammed Suleman (IAS:1989:MP) has taken charge of the Health Department, replacing IAS officer Pallavi Jain Govil (IAS:1994:MP).
Govil was criticised for her decision to work from home, even after testing positive for coronavirus.
