The Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has declared that a probe will be conducted into the role of Principal Secretary Home Amitabh Gupta (IPS:1992:MH) in permitting the controversial promoters of DHFL to travel during lockdown.
Additional Chief Secretary Manoj Saunik (IAS:1987:MH) will conduct the probe in a time frame of 15 days.
Deshmukh said that action will be taken promoters Kapil and Dheeraj Wadhawan under various sections of IPC, Disaster Management Act, andsection 11 of the COVID-19 regulations.
Gupta was sent on leave for allowing the Wadhawan family to travel to Mahabaleshwar during the on-going lockdown.
