Lieutenant General PP Malhotra has assumed charge as Director General of National Cadet Corps (NCC), one of the largest uniformed youth organizations in the world, replacing Lt Gen BS Sahrawat. Prior to assuming his present appointment, he was the Chief Engineer of the Army’s premier Northern Command.
Lt Gen Malhotra’s distinguished professional career includes various regimental, staff and command appointments.
He is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Pune and was commissioned in the Corps of Engineers of the Indian Army on June 18, 1983.
A graduate of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, the Lt Gen has also undergone the prestigious National Defence College course at New Delhi.
