Love Kumar (IPS:2004:UP) has been appointed as Inspector General (IG) in Special Protection Group (SPG). According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (05.04.2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Office of Secretary (Security), Cabinet Secretary for appointment of Love Kumar to the post by temporarily upgrading the post of DIG held by him for two years.
