Former chief secretary E K Bharat Bhushan (Retd.IAS:1979:KL) and incumbent state DGP Loknath Behera (IPS:1985:KL) are the frontrunners for the post of Managing Director of Cochin International Airport Ltd (CIAL). The post of CIAL MD fell vacant after V J Kurian (Retd.IAS:1983:KL) stepped down earlier this month after completion of his 5-year post-retirement tenure.
At present, Ernakulam District Collector S Suhas (IAS:2012:KL) has been given the additional charge as MD of CIAL.
