In a significant reshuffle in the Karnataka Police, the state government on Saturday (August 29, 2026) has transferred and posted 15 IPS officers, including three officers at the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) level. The reshuffle has also brought new Police Commissioners to Hubballi-Dharwad and Belagavi City, while four districts—Chikkaballapur, Koppal, Bengaluru South District (Ramanagara) and Gadag—have got new Superintendents of Police.
The names of the officers and their postings as follows;
- Harishekaran P (IPS:1996:KN), Additional Director General of Police, Crime and Technical Services, Bengaluru, has been transferred and posted as Additional Director General of Police, Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement, Bengaluru.
- M Nanjundaswami (IPS:1997:KN), Additional Director General of Police & Additional Director General, Karnataka State Fire and Emergency Services and SDRF, Bengaluru, has been transferred and posted as Additional Director General of Police, Grievances & Human Rights.
- Devajyoti Ray (IPS:1999:KN), Additional Director General of Police, Grievances & Human Rights, has been transferred and posted as Additional Director General of Police, Crime and Technical Services, Bengaluru.
- Amit Singh (IPS:2007:KN), Inspector General of Police, Western Range, Mangaluru, has been transferred and posted as Inspector General of Police, Karnataka State Reserve Police.
- Borase Bhushan Gulabrao (IPS:2009:KN), Deputy Inspector General of Police & Commissioner of Police, Belagavi City, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police and Commissioner of Police, Hubballi-Dharwad.
- R Chethan (IPS:2010:KN), awaiting posting, has been posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Western Range, Mangaluru.
- Nikam Prakash Amrit (IPS:2012:KN), awaiting posting, has been posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police & Commissioner of Police, Belagavi City.
- Shiva Prakash Devaraju (IPS:2014:KN), awaiting posting, has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Anti Narcotic Task Force.
- Padmini Sahoo (IPS:2015:KN), Deputy Commissioner of Police, Administration, Bengaluru, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Chikkaballapur District.
- R Srinivas Gowda (IPS:2016:KN), Superintendent of Police, Ramanagara, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, City Crime Branch-1.
- Dr Shivakumar (IPS:2016:KN), Superintendent of Police, Bengaluru Metropolitan Region Development Authority (excluding BDA & BMICAPA) Task Force, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Karnataka Lokayukta.
- Kushal Chouksey (IPS:2018:KN), Superintendent of Police, Chikkaballapur District, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Administration, Bengaluru.
- Sahil Bagla (IPS:2018:KN), Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic East Division, Bengaluru City, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Koppal.
- Rohan Jagadeesh (IPS:2019:KN), Superintendent of Police, Gadag, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Bengaluru South District (Ramanagara).
- Mithun H N (IPS:2020:KN), Deputy Commissioner of Police, Law & Order, Mangaluru City, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Gadag.
