Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary B V R Subrahmanyam (IAS:1987:CG) has been appointed Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Union Commerce Ministry. He will take over as the new Commerce Secretary after the retirement of incumbent Anup Wadhawan (IAS:1985:UK) on June 20.
Subrahmanyam had taken over as the Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir in June 2018, and during his tenure J&K”s special status was scrapped in 2019.
