J&K: 31 IPS officers shifted, Deepak Kumar posted as DG, Prisons

The Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday (27.01.2024) undertook a significant overhaul of the police administration, orchestrating the transfer of 38 police officers across the state.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Deepak Kumar (IPS:1993:AGMUT), Director Prosecution, holding additional charge of the post of Director General, Prisons, and MD, Police Housing Corporation, has been transferred and posted as DGP, Prisons.
2. SJM Gillani (IPS:1994:AGMUT), ADGP Armed with the additional charge of the post of Commandant General, HG/CD/SDRF, has been transferred and posted as ADGP Railways with additional charge of Managing Director, Police Housing Corporation.
3. Sunil Kumar (IPS:1996:AGMUT), ADGP, Railways, has been transferred and posted as Director Prosecution.
4. Vijay Kumar (IPS:1997:AGMUT), ADGP, Law & Order, shall also hold the additional charge of ADGP Armed and Commandant General, HG/CD/SDRF.
5. Dr. Sunil Gupta (IAS:2007:AGMUT), DIG, Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range with additional charge of DIG, Rajouri-Poonch Range.
6. Sujit Kumar (IPS:2007:AGMUT), DIG, Central Kashmir Range, has been transferred and posted as DIG, CID, Kashmir.
7. M Suleman Choudhary (IPS:2007:AGMUT), Udhampur-Reasi Range, has been transferred and posted as DIG (Personnel), PHQ.
8. Shakti Kumar Pathak (IPS:2009:AGMUT), Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, has been transferred and posted as Assistant Director, Anti Corruption Bureau with additional charge of Director, Anti Corruption Bureau.
9. Dr. Mohd. Haseeb Mughal (IPS-SPS:2009), DIG, Rajouri-Poonch Range, has been transferred and posted as DIG Traffic, Jammu.
10. Rayees Mohammad Bhat (IPS:2010:AGMUT), DIG, South Kashmir Range, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Udhampur-Reasi Range.
11. Shridhar Patil (IPS:2010:AGMUT), DIG, Traffic Jammu, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range with additional charge of DIG, Central Kashmir Range.
12. Altaf Ahmad Khan (IPS-SPS:2010), DIG, CID, Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as DIG, South Kashmir Range with additional charge of DIG, Central Kashmir Range.
13. Nisha Nathyal (IPS-SPS:2010), DIG, Armed, Jammu, has been transferred and posted as DIG (Administration), PHQ.
14. Sargun (IPS:2012:AGMUT), SSP, PCR, Jammu, has been transferred and posted as Commandant IR-15th Battalion.
15. Sandeep Gupta (IPS:2015:AGMUT), SP (Tech), CID Hqrs, has been transferred and posted as SSP, Ganderbal.
16. Shobhit Saxena (IPS), SP, State Investigation Agency, Jammu, has been transferred and posted as SSP, Kupwara.
17. PD Nitya (IPS:2016:AGMUT), awaiting posting orders upon repatriation, has been posted as SSP, Doda.
18. Anuj Kumar (IPS:2016:AGMUT), SP, Special Crime Wing, Jammu, with additional charge of SP, CICE, has been transferred and posted as SSP, Ramban.
19. Nikhil Borkar (IPS:2017:AGMUT), SP, Ganderbal, has been transferred and posted as SSP (Tech), CID Hqrs.
20. Mohita Sharma (IPS:2017:AGMUT), SP, Ramban, has been transferred and posted as SSP, Reasi.
21. Divya D (IPS:2017:AGMUT), SP Hqrs Baramulla, has been transferred and posted as SP, Sopore.
22. Deepika (IPS:2018:AGMUT), SP Hqrs Anantnag, has been transferred and posted as SP. State Intelligence Agency, Jammu.
23. Mubassir Latifi (IPS), Commandant IR-15th Battalion, has been transferred and posted as Commandant IR-10th Battalion.
24. Rashmi Wazir (IPS), Commandant, Women Battalion, Jammu, has been transferred and posted as Commandant IR-12th Battalion.
25. Anita Sharma (IPS), Commandant IR-14th Battalion, has been transferred and posted as Commandant IR-Ist Battalion.
26. Dr. Koshal Kumar Sharma (IPS), Commandant IR-19th Battalion, has been transferred and posted as SSP, PCR, Jammu.
27. Showkat Ahmad Dar (IPS), Commandant, IR-4th Battalion shall hold the additional charge of SP, PTWS, Srinagar.
28. Aijaz Ahmad Bhat (IPS), Commandant, IR-10th Battalion, has been transferred and posted as Commandant IR-6th Battalion with additional charge Staff Officer to Director General of Police (Camp), Srinagar.
29. Ranjit Singh Samyal (IPS), SSP, Security, VIP Tech, has been given additional charge of SSP, Security, Jammu.
30. Mohd. Yaseen Kichloo (IPS), SSP, Security Civil Secretariat, has been transferred and posted as SSP, CICE, Jammu.
31. Sanjeev Kumar Khajuria (IPS), Commandant, IR-24th Battalion, has been transferred and posted as Commandant JKAP-4th Security Battalion.
32. Ramesh Kumar Angral, Commandant IR-22nd Battalion, has been transferred and posted as Commandant JKAP-6th Battalion.
33. Kulbir Singh, Commandant IR-18th Battalion, has been transferred and posted as Commandant IR-11th Battalion.
34. Shailender Singh, SSP, Crime, Jammu, has been transferred and posted as SSP Railways, Jammu.
35. Dalip Kumar, SSP, upon repatriation from Anti Corruption Bureau, has been transferred and posted as Staff Officer to ADGP, Armed.
36. Benam Tosh, SSP, Samba. has been transferred and posted as SSP, Crime, Jammu.
37. Javid Hasan Bhat, Staff Officer to IGP, Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as Commandant Border Battalion, Srinagar.
38. Mehmood Ahmad, Staff Officer to ADGP, Armed, has been transferred and posted as Commandant IR-21st Battalion.
