Jitender Pal Singh appointed India’s envoy to Israel

Jitender Pal Singh (IFS: 2002) was on Friday (24.01.2025) appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the State of Israel. Presently, he is serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs and is expected to take up the assignment shorty.

In a statement, the MEA said, “Shri. Jitender Pal Singh (IFS: 2002), presently Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the State of Israel.”

“He is expected to take up the assignment shortly,” the statement added.

He will replace Sanjeev Singla (IFS:1997), who served as the envoy from 2019 to 2024. In October 2024, Singla was appointed as the Ambassador of India to France.
