Centre accepts resignation of Odisha IPS officer Jagmohan Meena

The Centre has accepted the resignation of IPS officer Jagmohan Meena, who was serving as DCP Bhubaneswar.

Bhubaneswar: The resignation of 2013-batch IPS officer Jagmohan Meena, who was serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Bhubaneswar, has been formally accepted by the Centre.

Meena had submitted his resignation on personal grounds, following which the Odisha government examined his request and forwarded it to the Union Home Ministry along with the necessary documents.

With the Union Home Ministry approving the resignation, Meena has formally ceased to be a member of the Indian Police Service.

During his career in Odisha, Meena served as Superintendent of Police in several districts, including Cuttack, Ganjam and Malkangiri.

As DCP, Bhubaneswar, he was also involved in police efforts to tackle cybercrime and drug trafficking in the state capital.
