The Modi government on Wednesday appointed J B Mohapatra (IRS-IT:1985) as the Chairman of Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). Presently, he is Member (Investigation), CBDT and also hold the additional charge of Chairman of CBDT after the retirement of PC Mody (IRS-IT:1982) in May 2021.
