Himanshu Gunawat (IRSME:2014), who was serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (December 31, 2025), the competent authority has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for his repatriation on personnel grounds. The order also provides for an extended cooling-off period.
Gunawat was appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry through an order dated March 25, 2025, for a tenure extending up to December 11, 2026, which constituted the combined admissible tenure of four years at the Deputy Secretary level.
