New Delhi: Haryana-cadre IAS officer Vikas Gupta (IAS:2001:HY), Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), has been given additional charge of Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) under the Department of School Education & Literacy.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (September 25, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved ex-post facto approval for entrustment of the additional charge for a period of six months with effect from July 23, 2026, or until a regular incumbent is appointed, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
