The central government on Wednesday appointed IAS officer Bidyut Bihari Swain (IAS:1988:GJ) as a Member of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Presently, Swain is serving as Union MSME Secretary.
The tenure of the member of UPSC is six years or until he/she attains the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier. After Swain’s appointment, four posts of Member in UPSC still remain vacant.
