Anil Kumar Singhal (IAS:1993:AP), currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of School Education & Literacy under the Ministry of Education, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre, Andhra Pradesh.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (July 02, 2025), the competent authority has approved his repatriation on personal grounds, with the imposition of an extended cooling-off condition.
Singhal was appointed Additional Secretary in the Department of School Education & Literacy in the last week of October 2024, succeeding Vipin Kumar (IAS:1996:BH). At the time of his appointment, he was serving in his parent cadre.
