Haryana govt effects major police reshuffle; 16 IPS/HPS officers transferred, promoted and given additional charges

The Haryana government on Friday (June 26, 2026) effected a major reshuffle in the state police, issuing transfer and posting orders for 15 IPS officers and one HPS officer with immediate effect. The reshuffle includes officers of the ranks of Director General of Police (DGP), Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Inspector General of Police (IGP) and Deputy Inspector General (DIG).

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Ajay Singhal (IPS:1992:HY), Director General of Police, Haryana, has been given additional charge of Chairman & Managing Director, Haryana Police Housing Corporation.
2. Alok Mittal (IPS:1993:HY), Managing Director, Haryana Police Housing Corporation with additional charge of Resident Commissioner, Haryana and Director General, Prisons, has been transferred and posted as Director General, Prisons with additional charge of Resident Commissioner, Haryana.
3. Navdeep Singh Virk (IPS:1994:HY), Additional Director General of Police, Haryana State Enforcement Bureau, and Director, Vigilance & Security, HPUs, Panchkula, has been promoted and posted as Director General, Haryana State Enforcement Bureau, Director, Vigilance & Security, HPUs, Panchkula.
4. Kala Ramachandran (IPS:1994:HY), Additional Director General of Police, Haryana Police Academy, Madhuban, with additional charge of Director, FSL, Madhuban, has been promoted and posted as Director General, Madhuban Complex and Director General, Training & Director, Haryana Police Academy, Madhuban.
5. Chakkirala Sambasiva Rao (IPS:1995:HY), Additional Director General of Police, Home Guards, Panchkula, with additional charge of ADGP, HR & Litigation, has been assigned additional charge as Commandant General, Home Guards & Civil Defence.
6. Charu Bali (IPS:1995:HY), Additional Director General of Police, Bhondsi Police Complex, Gurugram, has been assigned additional charge of ADGP/Cyber, ADGP/IT and ADGP/SCRB.
7. Vikas Arora (IPS:1998:HY), Additional Director General of Police (Administration), PHQ, Panchkula, has been assigned additional charge of ADGP/ERSS & Traffic & Highways and ADGP/Telecommunication.
8. Rakesh Kumar Arya (IPS:2003:HY), Inspector General of Police, State Crime Branch, Panchkula, has been assigned additional charge as IGP, Law & Order, Panchkula.
9. Maneesh Chaudhary (IPS:2005:HY), IGP, Railway Command, has been assigned additional charge as IGP, Prisons.
10. Ashok Kumar (IPS:2006:HY), Inspector General of Police, Karnal Range, has been assigned additional charge as IGP, HAP.
11. Nazneen Bhasin (IPS:2007:HY), IGP, HAP, Madhuban, with additional charge of IGP, RTC, Bhondsi, has been assigned additional charge as IGP, CID.
12. Surinder Pal Singh (IPS:2010:HY), DIG, CID, has been transferred and posted as DIG, STF.
13. Rajinder Kumar Meena (IPS:2011:HY), Joint Commissioner of Police, Sonipat, with additional charge of DCP (Headquarters), Sonipat, has been transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner of Police, Faridabad.
14. Anshu Singla (IPS:2014:HY), Superintendent of Police, RTC, Bhondsi, with additional charge of Commandant, 1st IRB, Bhondsi, has been transferred and posted as DCP (Headquarters), Gurugram.
15. Surinder Singh Bhoria (IPS:2014:HY), Superintendent of Police, STF, Panchkula and SP, Newal, Karnal, has been assigned additional charge as SP, Law & Order, PHQ.
16. Anil Kumar (HPS), Commandant, 5th Battalion, HAP, Madhuban, has been transferred and posted as SP, STF, Karnal.
