The Haryana government on Sunday appointed senior IPS officer Prashanta Kumar Agrawal (IPS:1988:HY) as the new state police chief. His term will be of two years from the date of his assumption of office. He would replace Manoj Yadava (IPS:1988:HY).
Yadava had joined as police chief on February 21, 2019. Citing personal reasons and career prospects, he had earlier written to ACS (Home) Rajeev Arora on June 22 seeking repatriation to Intelligence Bureau.
