Haryana: Four IPS officers promoted to various ranks

The Haryana government on Friday (09.02.2024) issued promotion orders for four IPS officers, marking advancements in their ranks.

Two IPS officers holding the rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) have been promoted to the higher rank of Director General of Police (DGP). The promoted officers are:

1. Alok Roy (IAS:1991:HY)
2. Sanjeev Kumar Jain (IAS:1991:HY)

Additionally, two IPS officers serving as Inspector General of Police (IGP) have been elevated to the rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP). The promoted officers are:

1. Amitabh Dhillon (IPS:1997:HY)
2. Sanjay Kumar (IPS:1997:HY)

These promotions were initiated in response to the creation of two temporary positions each for the ranks of DGP and ADGP, with the approval of the finance department, and are valid for a period of two years.
