Senior bureaucrat Hari Ranjan Rao (IAS:1994:MP) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (02.05.2022), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Rao to the post for the balance tenure of his central deputation or until further orders. Presently, he is serving as Administrator, Universal Services Obligation Fund, Department of Telecommunications.
