The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Thursday (25.07.2024) appointed senior IPS officer Hargobinder Singh Dhaliwal (IPS:1997:AGMUT) as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of Andaman and Nicobar Islands (A&NI). Prior to this assignment, he served as the Special Commissioner of Police in New Delhi, overseeing traffic zone-II.
Meanwhile, incumbent DGP Devesh Chandra Srivastva (IPS:1995:AGMUT) has been transferred to New Delhi.
