Senior IAS officer Raj Kumar (IAS:1987:GJ), who has returned from central deputation, has been appointed as the new Additional Chief Secretary in the Home Department. He relieves Rajiv Gupta (IAS:1986:GJ), Additional Chief Secretary, Industries and Mines, of the additional charge of Home Department.
Kumar was sent on central deputation in April 2015 and has worked with the Finance, Labour & Employment and Defence departments. His last posting was as Secretary, Defence Production.
