ADGP CID (Crime and Railways) Ashish Bhatia (IPS:1985:GJ) has been appointed as the Commissioner of Police in Ahmedabad. The post felt vacant when the then Ahmedabad Police Commissioner A K Singh (IPS:1985:GJ) was promoted and transferred to the post of DG of National Security Guards (NSG).
Bhatia was holding the additional charge of the post of Ahmedabad police Commissioner and Singh went to Delhi a month ago.
