The Union government on Monday (24.07.2023) notified the appointment of Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Dhiraj Singh as Chief Justices of the Bombay High Court and Andhra Pradesh High Court respectively.
The Supreme Court Collegium on June 6, 2023, recommended the appointment of Justice Devendra Upadhyaya of the Allahabad High Court as Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court. The collegium also recommended Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur, a Bombay High Court Judge, for the position of Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
