In its endeavor to combat the countrywide spread of the dreaded corona virus, the central government has sought to reach the minds of the young IAS officers who had served in the capital soon after the completion of their training.

Over 600 young IAS officers of five batches (2014-2018) have been asked to give their suggestions regarding government’s preparedness against the outbreak of COVID-19. The exercise began on March 26, and more than 400 officers have already responded to 23 questions contained in the questionnaire.

Based on their suggestions, a comprehensive report would be submitted to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). The government hopes that the officers’ suggestion would prove valuable in dealing with the coronavirus during and after the 21 day lockdown.
