Gopalakrishnan Ganesan’s deputation extended by two years

Centre extends the central deputation tenure of Gopalakrishnan Ganesan, Director in the Ministry of Steel, for two years up to January 2028.

The central deputation tenure of Gopalakrishnan Ganesan (IRAS:2010), Director in the Ministry of Steel, has been extended for two years.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (October 29, 2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Steel to extend Mr. Ganesan’s deputation tenure for a period of two years beyond January 3, 2026, and up to January 3, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
