Tamil Nadu reshuffles 28 IAS officers; Durga Moorthy appointed Dindigul Collector

In yet another reshuffle in the state bureaucracy, the Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday (June 2, 2026) transferred and posted 28 IAS officers, making changes in the Governor Secretariat, district administration, state corporations and development agencies.

The reshuffle was marked by the appointment of Durga Moorthy (IAS:2019:TN) as District Collector of Dindigul district and Ranjeet Singh (IAS:2016:TN) as District Collector of Tenkasi district.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Sajjansingh R Chavan (IAS:2006:TN), Secretary, Youth Welfare and Sports Development Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary to Governor, Lok Bhavan.
2. Ranjeet Singh (IAS:2016:TN), former District Collector, Theni district, has been posted as District Collector, Tenkasi district.
3. Durga Moorthy (IAS:2019:TN), former District Collector, Namakkal district, has been posted as District Collector, Dindigul district.
4. Rashmi Siddharth Jagade (IAS), former District Collector, Chennai district, has been posted as Special Secretary, Higher Education Department.
5. Har Sahay Meena (IAS:1997:TN), Principal Secretary/ Vice Chairman, Science City, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary/ Commissioner, Land Reforms.
6. Ajay Yadav (IAS:2005:TN), Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Cements Corporation Limited, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Milk Production and Dairy Development and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited (Aavin).
7. Dr J Vijaya Rani (IAS:2013:TN), Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Warehousing Corporation, has been transferred and posted as Director, Horticulture and Plantation Crops.
8. P Kumaravel Pandian (IAS:2014:TN), Director, Horticulture and Plantation Crops, has been transferred and posted as Member Secretary, State Planning Commission.
9. P Rathinasamy (IAS:2018:TN), former District Collector, Ariyalur district, has been posted as Director, Technical Education.
10. Dr R Sukumar (IAS:2019:TN), former District Collector, Tirunelveli district, has been posted as Director, Stationery and Printing.
11. Dr A John Louis (IAS:2011:TN), Director, Milk Production and Dairy Development and Managing Director, Aavin, has been placed at the disposal of Tamil Nadu Warehousing Corporation for appointment as its Managing Director.
12. T Anbalagan (IAS:2011:TN), formerly Director and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Sugar Corporation Limited, has been placed at the disposal of Tamil Nadu Maritime Board for appointment as its Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
13. Dr J U Chandrakala (IAS:2013:TN), formerly District Collector, Ranipet district, has been placed at the disposal of Tamil Nadu Cements Corporation Limited for appointment as its Managing Director.
14. Dr S Visakan (IAS:2014:TN), Director, Technical Education, have been placed at the disposal of Science City for appointment as its Vice Chairman.
15. V Sivakrishnamurthy (IAS:2017:TN), Deputy Commissioner (Works), Greater Chennai Corporation, has been placed at the disposal of Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board for appointment as its Joint Managing Director.
16. R Anamika (IAS:2020:TN), Joint Commissioner, Municipal Administration, has been placed at the disposal of Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board for appointment as its Joint Managing Director.
17. M Birathiviraj (IAS:2019:TN), Deputy Commissioner (Revenue and Finance), Greater Chennai Corporation, has been placed at the disposal of Corporation of Karur for appointment as its Commissioner.
18. V Deepanavisveswari (IAS:2019:TN), Executive Director, Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu (ELCOT), has been placed at the disposal of Corporation of Thanjavur for appointment as its Commissioner.
19. S Kishan Kumar (IAS:2022:TN), Sub Collector, Chidambaram Division, Cuddalore district, has been placed at the disposal of Corporation of Cuddalore for appointment as its Commissioner.
20. T Swathi Sree (IAS:2022:TN), Sub Collector, Kulithalai Division, Karur district, has been placed at the disposal of District Rural Development Agency, Tiruchirappalli district for appointment as Additional Collector (Development) and Project Officer.
21. P I Ashik Ali (IAS:2022:TN), Sub Collector, Kancheepuram Division, Kancheepuram district, has been placed at the disposal of District Rural Development Agency, Kancheepuram district for appointment as Additional Collector (Development) and Project Officer.
22. Vinay Kumar Meena (IAS:2022:TN), Sub Collector, Padmanabhapuram Division, Kanniyakumari district, has been placed at the disposal of District Rural Development Agency, Tirunelveli district for appointment as Additional Collector (Development) and Project Officer.
23. Anand Kumar Singh (IAS:2022:TN), Sub Collector, Tirukoilur Division, Kallakurichi district, has been placed at the disposal of District Rural Development Agency, Viluppuram district for appointment as Additional Collector (Development) and Project Officer.
