Dr. Dinesh Dasa, former Chairman of the Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC), has been appointed as a member of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). He has assumed his new role in the national capital.
This appointment was made by the President of India, as per an order issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (Department of Personnel and Training). Members of the UPSC typically serve for a term of six years.
Currently chaired by Dr. Manoj Soni, the UPSC also includes members such as Rajiv Nayan Choubey, Lt Gen Raj Shukla (Retd.), Mrs. Preeti Sudan, Ms. Suman Sharma, and Bidyut Behari Swain.
Dr. Dasa has previously served as the Ex-Director of Gujarat Tourism Corporation Ltd. He holds a Ph.D. in Forest Laws & Sustainable Development and hails from Navsari in South Gujarat.
