Delhi govt transfers 42 officers in major bureaucratic shake-up

New Delhi, May 16, 2025: Hours after the Ministry of Home Affairs implemented a major reshuffle in the AGMUT cadre on Friday, the Delhi Government followed suit by transferring 25 IAS and 17 DANICS officers, triggering a significant overhaul in the bureaucratic landscape of the national capital.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Bipul Pathak (IAS:1992:AGMUT), Additional Chief Secretary, (Industries) with additional charges of Chairman (DSIIDC) and MD (DKVIB), has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, (Industries) with additional charge of Addl. Chief Secretary, Environment & Forests.
2. Prashant Goyal (IAS:1993:AGMUT), Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Commissioner, Transport, has been transferred and posted as Addl. Chief Secretary, Urban Development and Chairperson, SRDC.
3. Navin Kumar Choudhary (IAS:1994:AGMUT), Additional Chief Secretary, I&FC with additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, GAD, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, I&FC with additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, PWD.
4. A Anbarasu (IAS:1996:AGMUT), Principal Secretary, Home with additional charge of Principal Secretary, PWD & I&P, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Home with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Services.
5. Nikhil Kumar (IAS:2002:AGMUT), Secretary, Land & Building, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Health & Family Welfare with additional charge of Secretary, IT.
6. Neeraj Semwal (IAS:2003:AGMUT), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as Secretary, Revenue-cum-Divisional Commissioner with additional charge of Secretary, Information & Publicity.
7. Shurbir Singh (IAS:2004:AGMUT), Chairman, DSSSB with additional charge of Secretary, Power, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Power with additional charge of Secretary, Finance.
8. Niharika Rai (IAS:2008:AGMUT), Secretary, Finance with additional charge of Secretary, Planning and MD, DT & TDC, has been transferred and posted as Secretary-cum-Commissioner, Transport with additional charge of Secretary, Tourism and MD & CEO, DT&TDC.
9. Rupesh Kumar Thakur (IAS:2006:AGMUT), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as CEO, DUSIB.
10. Shilpa Shinde (IAS:2006:AGMUT), Development Commissioner with additional charge of Secretary, Cooperation, has been transferred and posted as Development Commissioner with additional charges of Secretary, Cooperation and Secretary-cum-Commissioner, Labour.
11. Azimul Haque (IAS:2007:AGMUT), CEO, Delhi Waqf Board, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Planning with additional charge of CEO, Delhi Waqf Board.
12. K Mahesh (IAS:2009:AGMUT), Special Secretary, SC/ST/OBC/Minorities, has been transferred and posted as MD, DKVIB.
13. Ravi Dhawan (IAS:2011:AGMUT), MD, DSIIDC with additional charges of Special Secretary, Power and MD (IPGCL/PPCL) & Nodal Officer for Special Monitoring Cell, Single Use Plastic, Liaison with Northern Railway, Redevelopment of AIIMS, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Power with additional charge of Member (Administration), Delhi Jal Board.
14. Ravi Jha (IAS:2011:AGMUT), Special Secretary, Chief Minister, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Excise.
15. Vinay Kumar (IAS:2011:AGMUT), Special Secretary, Health & Family Welfare with additional charge of Special Secretary, Home.
16. AK Singh (IAS:2011:AGMUT), Registrar, Cooperative Societies, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Urban Development.
17. Sachin Rana (IAS:2014:AGMUT), Additional CEO, Delhi Jal Board with additional charge of Member (Administration), DJB, has been transferred and posted as Special Commissioner, Trade & Taxes.
18. Dr. Kinny Singh (IAS:2014:AGMUT), Deputy Commissioner/District Magistrate, West Delhi, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Health.
19. Vandana Rao (IAS:2015:AGMUT), Dy. Commissioner, MCD, has been transferred and posted as Dy. Commissioner/District Magistrate, West Delhi.
20. Sandeep Mishra (IAS:2015:AGMUT), upon joining GNCTD, has been posted as Member Secretary, DPCC.
21. Nazuk Kumar (IAS:2016:AGMUT), Additional Director, Education, has been posted as MD, DSIIDC.
22. Mamta Yadav (IAS:2021:AGMUT), SDM, Najafgarh, has been transferred and posted as Dy. Commissioner, MCD.
23. Samyak S Jain (IAS:2022:AGMUT), SDM (HQ), South West, has been transferred and posted as SDM, Najafgarh.
