The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet on Tuesday (27.09.2022) approved the appointment of four candidates as Member in Customs, Central Excise and Service Tax Settlement Commission (CESTAT).

The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet on Tuesday (27.09.2022) approved the appointment of four candidates as Member in Customs, Central Excise and Service Tax Settlement Commission (CESTAT).

The names of the candidates are :

  1. Sandeep Kumar (IRS-C&IT:1987), Member, Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs, Department of Revenue, New Delhi.
  2. Alok Tewari (IRS-C&IT:1988) (Retd.), Former Principal Director General, Directorate General of Revenue Intelligence.
  3. Himanshu Gupta (IRS-C&IT:1987) (Retd.), Former Principal Director General, National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes & Narcotics, Faridabad.
  4. Hitesh Ajit Shah (IRS-C&IT:1992), Technical Member, National Anti-Profiteering Authority.
