Brig VK Nambiar appointed as IG (East), Assam Rifles

Brig VK Nambiar, YSM, SM, PARA, has been appointed as Inspector General (East) in the Assam Rifles for 18 months. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (16.08.2022), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Nambiar to the post for a period of 18 months with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
