IAS Sakshi Mittal appointed as Director, DoPT

Sakshi Mittal (IAS:2010:AGMUT), who was recommended for central deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been selected for appointment as Director in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) for five years. According to an order issued by the DoPT on Monday (22.04.2024), the central government has appointed Sakshi Mittal to the post under the central staffing scheme for five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Assam: Sanjukta Parasor posted as IGP, CID

The Assam government recently issued posting orders for Sanjukta Parasor (IPS:2006:AM) following her repatriation to her parent cadre from central deputation. She has been posted as Inspector General of Police (IGP) for the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Ulubari, Guwahati.

FSIB recommends Sanjay Shukla’s name for National Housing Bank MD position

The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) announced on April 10 its recommendation for the appointment of Sanjay Shukla as the Managing Director (MD) of the National Housing Bank (NHB). The FSIB’s decision was based on a thorough evaluation of 16 candidates interviewed on April 9 and 10, considering their performance, overall experience, and adherence to established criteria.

Currently, he is the Managing Director and CEO of Housing Finance at Centrum India.

FSIB recommends Manoj Mittal’s name for SIDBI CMD position

The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) on April 10 announced its recommendation for the appointment of Manoj Mittal as the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). The FSIB’s decision was based on a thorough evaluation of 21 candidates who were interviewed on April 9 and 10, considering their performance, overall experience, and adherence to established criteria.

If appointed, Mittal will replace Sivasubramanian Ramann as SIDBI’s CMD. Ramann had joined SIDBI in April 2021 for a three-year term.

Currently, Manoj Mittal is serving as Managing Director, Industrial Finance Corporation of India (IFCI).

Haryana: Three IAS officers shifted, Yash Garg posted as DC of Panchkula

The Haryana government on Sunday (21.04.2024) issued transfer and posting orders for three IAS officers.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

  1. Yash Garg (IAS:2009:HY), Managing Director, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd and Managing Director, Haryana Financial Corporation, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula and Chief Administrator, Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, Panchkula.
  2. Sushil Sarwan (IAS:2012:HY), Chief Administrator, Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, Panchkula, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd and Managing Director, Haryana Financial Corporation.
  3. Sachin Gupta (IAS:2018:HY), District Municipal Commissioner, Panchkula and Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Panchkula, has been given additional charge of Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Citizen Resources Information Officer, Panchkula.

NCB SIT Chief Sanjay Singh takes VRS

Senior IPS officer Sanjay Singh (IPS:1996:OR), Deputy Director General (DDG) of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), has opted for voluntary retirement from service (VRS), citing personal reasons. Singh’s VRS is effective from April 30, 2022, just 8 months before his scheduled retirement in January 2025. Currently, he holds the position of DDG of NCB’s south-west and southern regions.

Singh headed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) that cleared actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, and five others in May 2022, citing insufficient evidence in the drugs-on-cruise case. Aryan Khan and several others were arrested by the NCB in Mumbai in October 2021 on drug-related charges by a team headed by former NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede.

Moreover, Singh is overseeing an investigation into alleged irregularities committed by former NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede during his tenure in the NCB Mumbai office while handling two drug cases.

The Supreme Court collegium headed by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud on Tuesday (16.04.2024) recommended to the Centre the name of advocate Sreeja Vijayalakshmi for appointment as a Judge of the Kerala High Court.

Sanjay Malhotra gets additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs

Sanjay Malhotra (IAS:1990:RJ), Secretary, Department of Defence, has been given additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (19.04.2024), the competent authority has approved assignment of additional charge of the post to Sanjay Malhotra from 22.04.2024 to 01.05.2024 during the period of absence on leave of Manoj Govil (IAS:1991:MP).

Vice Admiral DK Tripathi to be next Chief of Naval Staff

The central government on Thursday (18.04.2024) appointed Vice Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi as the next Chief of Naval Staff (CNS). Currently serving as the Vice Chief of Naval Staff, Tripathi will succeed incumbent CNS Admiral R Hari Kumar, who is scheduled to retire on 30 April.

Vice Admiral Tripathi took over as Vice Chief of Naval Staff on 04 Jan 2024. Admiral Hari Kumar, commissioned into the Indian Navy on 01 January 1983, took over as CNS on 30 November 2021, becoming the 25th Chief of the Naval Staff.
