Union government notifies extension of tenure of two Additional Judges of Chhattisgarh HC

The Union government on Thursday (09.05.2024) notified extension of tenure of two Additional Judges from the Chhattisgarh High Court.

They are;

  1. Justice Sachin Singh Rajput
  2. Justice Radhakishan Agrawal

The extension is effective from May 16, 2024, and August 2, 2024, respectively.

The Supreme Court Collegium recommended their names for reappointment as Additional Judges of the Chhattisgarh High Court for a new term of one year on April 24, 2024.

Justice Rakesh Mohan Pandey appointed as Permanent Judge of Chhattisgarh HC

The Union government on Thursday (09.05.2024) notified the appointment of Additional Judge of Chhattisgarh High Court, Justice Rakesh Mohan Pandey as a Permanent Judge of the High Court. The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended Justice Rakesh Mohan Pandey to be a Permanent Judge of the High Court on April 24, 2024.

Justice Wasim Sadiq Nargal appointed Additional Judge of JK and Ladakh HC

Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court

The Union government on Thursday (09.05.2024) notified the appointment of Justice Wasim Sadiq Nargal as an Additional Judge of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court for a fresh term of one year with effect from 03.06.2024.

This decision follows the recommendation made by the Supreme Court Collegium on April 24, endorsing his appointment as an Additional Judge of the Karnataka High Court for another one-year term.

Ajitkumar Vasantrao Sontakke appointed as CVO of NPCIL

Ajitkumar Vasantrao Sontakke (IOFS:2009) has been appointed as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL), Mumbai on lateral shift basis. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (10.05.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Ajitkumar Vasantrao Sontakke to the post on lateral shift basis for a period upto 20.05.2027 (i.e. maximum admissible tenure of 7 years away from the cadre at a stretch), from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Apurva Chandra gets addl. charge of Secretary, MoHUA

Apurva Chandra (IAS:1988:MH), Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare, has been given additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA). According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (13.05.2024), the competent authority has approved the assignment of additional charge of the post to Apurva Chandra from 14.05.2024 to 20.05.2024 during the period of absence on leave of Anurag Jain (IAS:1989:MP).

T K Ramachandran (IAS:1991:TN), Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, has been given additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH). According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (13.05.2024), the competent authority has approved the assignment of additional charge of the post to T K Ramachandran from 14.05.2024 to 20.05.2024 during the period of absence on leave of Anurag Jain (IAS:1989:MP).

Anil Malik gets addl. charge of Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs

Anil Malik (IAS:1991:HY), Secretary in the Ministry of Women & Child Development, has been given additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (13.05.2024), the competent authority has approved assignment of additional charge of the post to Anil Malik from 14.05.2024 to 24.05.2024 during the period of absence on leave of Katikithala Srinivas (IAS:1989:GJ).

Bhawna Garg gets extension as DDG in UIDAI Chandigarh

The central deputation tenure of Bhawna Garg (IAS:1999:PB) as Deputy Director General (DDG) (JS level), UIDAI, Regional Office, Chandigarh has been extended for one year. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (10.05.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology to extend the deputation tenure of Bhawna Garg for a period of one year beyond 14.05.2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Moloy Chandan Chakrabortty gets extension as Jute Commissioner in Ministry of Textiles

The tenure of Moloy Chandan Chakrabortty (IDAS:1993) as Jute Commissioner (JS level), Kolkata in the Ministry of Textiles has been extended for 18 months. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (10.05.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal to extend the deputation tenure of Moloy Chandan Chakrabortty for 18 years beyond 05.05.2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

DPIIT Director Ramanjaneyulu B laterally shifted to Lokpal as Director

Ramanjaneyulu B (IRS-IT:2007), Director in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), has been laterally shifted to Lokpal as Director. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (10.05.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal for appointment of Ramanjaneyulu B to the post on lateral shift basis for a tenure upto 01.12.2026 (i.e. for the balance period of his five years central deputation tenure).
