UP: 13 IAS officers shifted, Ministhy S posted as Finance Secretary

In a significant development, the Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday night (21.08.2024) implemented bureaucratic reshuffle in the state by issuing transfer orders for 13 IAS officers. Additionally, three IAS officers who were awaiting posting orders have now been assigned new responsibilities.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

  1. K Vijayendra Pandiyan (IAS:2008:UP), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as Commissioner-cum-Director, Industries; Director, Handloom & Textile Industry ; MD, UP State Textile Corporation Limited; MD, State Spinning Company Limited; MD, State Yarn Company Limited; MD, Cooperative Spining Mills Federation Limited and MD, UP Finance Corporation Limited.
  2. Ministhy S (IAS:2003:UP), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as Secretary, Finance Department.
  3. Annapurna Garg (IAS:2016:UP), Additional CEO, Greater Noida Authority, Gautam Buddh Nagar, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Appointment and Personnel Department.
  4. Anita Yadav (IAS:2017:UP), Vice Chairman, Agra Development Authority and Regional Food Controller, Agra, has been put on the waiting list for further posting.
  5. M Arunmozhi (IAS:2017:UP), Chief Development Officer, Gonda, has been transferred and posted as Vice Chairman, Agra Development Authority, Agra.
  6. Akanksha Rana (IAS:2017:UP), Chief Development Officer, Aligarh and Regional Food Controller, Aligarh, has been transferred and posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Kumbh Mela Authority.
  7. Ramya R (IAS:2020:UP), Chief Development Officer, Bahraich, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Infrastructure & Industrial Development Department.
  8. Mukesh Chandra (IAS:2004:UP), Joint Managing Director, U.P. Sahkari Chini Mill Sangh Ltd., has been transferred and posted as Chief Development Officer, Bahraich.
  9. Ankita Jain (IAS:2020:UP), Joint Magistrate, Kushinagar, has been transferred and posted as Chief Development Officer, Gonda.
  10. Navneet Sehra (IAS:2020:UP), Chief Development Officer, Pratapgarh, has been transferred and posted as
    Joint Managing Director, U.P. Sahkari Chini Mill Sangh Ltd.
  11. Arvind Singh (IAS:2015:UP), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as Additional Land Management Commissioner, Revenue Board, Lucknow.
  12. Dr. Divya Mishra (IAS:2020:UP), Joint Magistrate, Bulandshahr, has been transferred and posted as Chief Development Officer, Pratapgarh.
  13. Prakhar Kumar Singh (IAS:2021:UP), Joint Magistrate, Kanpur City, has been transferred and posted as Chief Development Officer, Aligarh.

IRS officer Alok Madukar Ket appointed Director in DPIIT

IRS officer Alok Madukar Ket (IRS-C&IT:2008), who is presently compulsory wait in the Ministry of Panchayat, has been selected for appointment as Director in the Department of Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT). According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (21.08.2024), the central government has approved the appointment of Mr Ket to the post for a tenure upto 27.06.2026 with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

IRS officer Sabiha Rizvi appointed Director in DPIIT

IRS officer Sabiha Rizvi (IRS-IT:2009), who was recommended for central deputation by the Department of Revenue, has been selected for appointment as Director in the Department of Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT) for five years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (21.08.2024), the central government has approved the appointment of Ms. Rizvi to the post under the central staffing scheme for five years with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Amrendra Pratap Singh appointed Director in DPIIT

Amrendra Pratap Singh (ISS:2010), who is on compulsory wait in the Ministry of Panchayat Raj, has been selected for appointment as Director in the Department of Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT). According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday, the central government has approved the appointment of Mr. Singh to the post for a tenure upto 25.10.2028 with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

SC Collegium recommends 3 Advocates as Judges of Delhi HC

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the elevation of three Advocates as Judges of the Delhi High Court. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Collegium held on August 21, 2024.

They are;

Nine Additional Judges of Allahabad HC appointed as Permanent Judges

The Union government on Wednesday (21.08.2024) notified the appointment of nine Additional Judges of the Allahabad High Court as Permanent Judges of that High Court with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.

These judges are ;

  1. Justice Syed Qamar Hasan Rizvi
  2. Justice Manish Kumar Nigam
  3. Justice Anish Kumar Gupta
  4. Justice Ms. Nand Prabha Shukla
  5. Justice Kshitij Shailendra
  6. Justice Vinod Diwakar
  7. Justice Prashant Kumar
  8. Justice Manjive Shukla
  9. Justice Arun Kumar Singh Deshwal

The Supreme Court Collegium had approved the proposal for appointing the nine Additional Judges of Allahabad High Court as Permanent Judges of the Court vide notification dated 13th August, 2024.

Two Additional Judges of Andhra Pradesh HC appointed as Permanent Judges

The Union government on Wednesday (21.08.2024) notified the appointment of two Additional Judges of the Andhra Pradesh High Court as Permanent Judges of that High Court with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.

These two judges are ;

  1. Justice Venkata Jyothirmai Pratapa
  2. Justice Venuthurumalli Gopala Krishna Rao

The Supreme Court Collegium had approved the proposal for appointing the two Additional Judges of Andhra Pradesh High Court as Permanent Judges of the Court vide notification dated 13th August, 2024.

MP: Nine IAS officers shifted, Sukhbir Singh posted as Chief Election Officer

The Madhya Pradesh government on Tuesday (20.08.2024) implemented a significant administrative reshuffle by transferring nine IAS officers to new positions.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

  1. Anupam Rajan (IAS:1993:MP), Chief Election Officer, Madhya Pradesh and Ex-Officio Principal Secretary, Law and Legislature Department (Electoral matters), has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary for Higher Education with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Horticulture and Food Processing.
  2. Amit Rathore (IAS:1996:MP), Principal Secretary, Commercial Tax Department with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Cottage and Rural Industries, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Finance Department with additional charge of posts of Principal Secretary, Commercial Tax Department and Principal Secretary, Cottage and Rural Industries.
  3. Sukhbir Singh (IAS:1997:MP), Principal Secretary of Horticulture and Food Processing with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, has been transferred and posted as Chief Election Officer and Ex-Officio Principal Secretary, Law and Legislature Department (Electoral matters).

  6. Sibi Chakravarthy M (IAS:2008:MP), MD, Metro Rail Corporation Limited with additional charge of Secretary, Transport Department, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner-cum-Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection with additional charge of MD, MP State Warehousing Corporation.

Chhattisgarh: Two IAS officers assigned additional charges, two others transferred to new posts

The Chhattisgarh government Tuesday (20.08.2024) assigned additional charges to two IAS officers. Additionally, two 2022 batch IAS officers have been assigned new posts.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

  1. Abhijeet Singh (IAS:2012:CG), Joint Secretary, Home and Jail Department, has been given the additional charge of Joint Secretary, Health Education Department.
  2. Prabhat Malik (IASL:2015:CG), CEO of Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHIPS), has been given additional charge of Joint Secretary, Department of Electronics and Information Technology.

Meanwhile, the 2022 batch probationary officers have also received new postings.

  1. Namrata Choubey (IAS:2022:CG), Assistant Collector, Baloda Bazar, has been transferred and posted as SDM, Saraipali, Mahasamund.
  2. Prakhar Chandrakar (IAS:2022:CG), Assistant Collector, Kanker, has been transferred and posted as SDM (Revenue), Sarangarh, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh

    Telangana: Six IAS officers shifted

    The Telangana government on Tuesday (20.08.2024) issued transfer and posting orders for six IAS officers.

    The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

    1. Amrapali Kata (IAS:2010:TG), Joint Commissioner, HMDA, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
    2. M Dana Kishore (IAS:1996:TG), Principal Secretary, MA & UD Department is placed in full additional charge of Managing Director, Musi River Development Corporation Limited (MRDCL).
    3. Sarfaraz Ahmed (IAS:2009:TG), Metropolitan Commissioner, HMDA, is placed in full additional charge of Managing Director, Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited.
    4. Kota Sreevatsa (IAS:2017:TG), Additional Commissioner, GHMC, has been transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner, HMDA.
    5. Chahat Bajpai (IAS:2019:TG), waiting posting orders, has been posted as Municipal Commissioner, Karimnagar Municipal Corporation.
