Anshuman Gaur appointed next Ambassador to Hungary

Senior diplomat Anshuman Gaur (IFS: 2001) was on Tuesday (25.03.2025) appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Hungary. Presently, he is serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs and is expected to take up the assignment shortly.

In a statement, the MEA said, “Shri Anshuman Gaur (IFS: 2001), presently Joint Secretary in the Ministry, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Hungary.”

“He is expected to take up the assignment shortly,” the statement added.

Three Additional Judges of Chhattisgarh HC get one-year term extensions

The Central government on Tuesday (26.03.2025) approved the extension of the terms of three Chhattisgarh High Court Additional Judges for one more year.

They are;

  1. Justice Sachin Singh Rajput
  2. Justice Radhakishan Agrawal
  3. Justice Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal

The decision follows recommendations from the Supreme Court Collegium made on March 19.

Three Additional Judges of Punjab & Haryana HC appointed as Permanent Judges

HC slaps penalty on IAS

The Union government on Wednesday (26.03.2025) notified the appointment of three Additional Judges of the Punjab & Haryana High Court as Permanent Judges of that High Court.

These judges are ;

  1. Justice Sumeet Goel
  2. Justice Sudeepti Sharma
  3. Justice Kirti Singh

The Supreme Court Collegium had approved the proposal for appointing the three Additional Judges of Punjab and Haryana High Court as Permanent Judges of the Court vide notification dated March 19, 2025.

Four Advocates appointed as Judges in Rajasthan HC

The Union government on Wednesday (26.03.2025) notified the appointment of four Advocates as Judges of the Rajasthan High Court.

They are;

  1. Anand Sharma
  2. Sunil Beniwal
  3. Mukesh Rajpurohit
  4. Sandeep Shah

The Supreme Court Collegium on March 5, 2025, approved the elevation of seven Advocates as Judges of the Rajasthan High Court. However, while the appointment of four Advocates has been notified, three remain pending.

SC collegium recommends two Advocates as Judges of Allahabad HC

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the elevation of two Advocates as Judges of the Allahabad High Court. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Collegium held on March 25, 2025.

The names of the Advocates are;

  1. Amitabh Kumar Rai
  2. Rajiv Lochan Shukla

SC collegium recommends transfer of Justice Yashwant Verma from Delhi HC to Allahabad HC

The Supreme Court Collegium on Monday (24.03.2025) recommended the transfer of Delhi High Court Judge Justice Yashwant Verma to the Allahabad High Court. This decision was made during meetings held on March 20 and March 24, 2025.

Jharkhand: 7 IPS officers shifted, Anil Palta posted as DG, Rail

The Jharkhand government on Tuesday (25.03.2025) issued transfer and posting orders for 7 IPS officers across the state.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

  1. Anil Palta (IPS:1990:JH), DG, Home Guards and Fire Services, has been transferred and posted as DG, Rail.
  2. M S Bhatia (IPS:1993:JH), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as DG, Home Guards and Fire Services.
  3. Pankaj Kamboj (IPS:2005:JH), IG, Provisioning, has been transferred and posted as MD, Jharkhand Police Housing Corporation Limited.
  4. Shubham Kumar Khandelwal (IPS:2021:JH), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as SDPO, Samaria.
  5. Gaurav Goswami (IPS:2021:JH), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as SDPO, Patratu.
  6. Vedant Shankar (IPS:2022:JH), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as SDPO, Kisko.

Punjab: Two IPS officers shifted, Surinder Pal Singh Parmar posted as Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau

The Punjab government on Thursday (26.03.2025) issued transfer and posting orders for two IPS officers

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

  1. G Nageswara Rao (IPS:1995:PB), Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau, SAS Nagar, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Provisioning.
  2. Surinder Pal Singh Parmar (IPS-SPS:1997), ADGP, Law & Order, has been transferred and posted as Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau, SAS Nagar.

Kartik Agrawal appointed Deputy Secretary in Ministry of Power

Kartik Agrawal (ICoAS:2016), who was recommended for central deputation by the Department of Expenditure, has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Power, Delhi, for four years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (26.03.2025), Mr. Agrawal will serve in the post under the central staffing scheme for a period of four years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Neha Garg repatriated to parent cadre

Neha Garg (IRS-C&IT:2007), currently serving as Director in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, has been prematurely repatriated to her parent cadre. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (26.03.2025), the competent authority has approved the proposal to repatriate Ms Garg to her parent cadre to avail the benefit of promotion.
