05 IPS officers transferred in Bihar

The Bihar government on Monday issued transfer and posting orders of 05 IPS officers in the state.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

  1. Satyavir Singh (IPS:2008:BH) : SP, Rohtas given additional charge of Commandant, BMP-2, Dehri-on-Sone/ Commandant, Women Battalion, Sasaram.
  2. Manoj Kumar (IPS:2008:BH) : SP, Supaul.
  3. Natasha Gudia (IPS:2008:BH) : SP, West Champaran, Bettiah.
  4. Jayant Kant (IPS:2009:BH) : SSP, Muzaffarpur.
  5. Mritunjay Kumar Chaudhary : Commandant-cum-Primcipal, Constable Training Centre, Simultala

Three officers get posting under CSS

The Narendra Modi government, on Tuesday, has recommended central deputation tenure for three officers from different services as Director and Deputy Secretary in different departments under the Central Staffing Scheme.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

  1. Vimal Anand (IRS-IT:2003) : Director, Department of Sports for a period of five years.
  2. Ms. Rohini R Bhajibhakare (IAS:2008:TN) : Deputy Secretary, Department of Higher Education for a period of four years.
  3. Vivek Shukla (ISS:2004) : Director, Department of Food and Public Distribution for a period of five years.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary transferred

The Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, L.V Subrahmanyam (IAS:1983:AP), was on Monday transferred and posted as the Director-General of HRD Centre, Bapatla. Neerabh Kumar Prasad (IAS:1987:AP) was made in-charge Chief Secretary. He is currently serving as the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration.

It may be mentioned that Subrahmanyam had issued show cause notice to Praveen Prakash (IAS:1994:AP), who heads the crucial general administration department (political), alleging misconduct and violation of government business rules.

Significantly, Subrahmanyam’s transfer order was signed by none other than Praveen Prakash, following approval from the chief minister.

IPS officer Aditya Mishra appointed as Chairman, LPAI

Aditya Mishra (IAS:1989:UP) was on Monday appointed as the Chairman of the Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI) for a period of five years from the date of assumption of the charge.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Mishra as the chairman of the LPAI on the recommendations of a search-cum-selection panel.

LPAI develops, sanitises and manage the facilities for cross-border movement of passengers and goods at designated points along the international borders of India.

Justice (Retd.) Rajendra Menon appointed as Chairperson, AFT

Justice (Retd.) Rajendra Menon, former Chief Justice of Delhi High Court, has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT) for a period of three years w.e.f the date of assumption of charge of the post, or till attaining the age of 70 tears, whichever is earlier.

The Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT) established in 2009 under the Armed Forces Tribunal Act 2007 at New Delhi. The AFT has a power of adjudication or trial of disputes and complaints with respect to appointments, commission, enrolments and conditions of services. It has a principal bench at New Delhi while regional benches have been established at Jaipur, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Chennai and Guwahati.

Retired High Court Judges are judicial members of the AFT.

Manoj Pande appointed as Member (Staff), Railway Board

Manoj Pande (IRPS:1991) has taken over as Member (Staff) of Railway Board on November 2. He was also appointed as ex-officio Secretary to the government on the same day. Prior to this he was serving as Director General (Personnel) on Railway Board.

ACC approves apppointment of Directors in 11 Central PSUs

The Narendra Modi government on Saturday cleared the appointment of Directors in 11 Central PSUs namely RITES, CPCL, SAIL, MCL, ITI, SCI, KIOCL, BCCL and CIL.

They are :

  1. B.P. Nayak, Executive Director (ED), Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has been appointed as Director (Finance) in RITES Limited till the date of his superannuation.
  2. Krishnan S, Chief General Manager, Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) has been appointed to the post of Director (Operations), CPCL.
  3. Amit Sen has been appointed to the post of Director (Finance) Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) till the date his superannuation. Presently he is General Manager (GM), SAIL.
  4. Keshav Rao (ITS), General Manager, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has been appointed to the post of Director (Personnel), MCL for a period of five years.
  5. D. Venkateswarlu has been appointed to the post of Director (Prodution), Indian Telephone Industries (ITI) Ltd. Presently he is serving as General Manager (GM), ITI Ltd.
  6. Atul Ubale, General Manager (GM), Shipping Corporation of India Limited (SCI) has been appointed to the post of Director (Bulk Carriers & Tankers), SCI for a period of five years.
  7. Anil Vij, Executive Director (ED), RITES Limited has been appointed to the post of Director (Technical) in RITES Limited till the date of his superannuation i.e. February 28, 2023.
  8. K V Bhaskara Reddy, General Manager (GM), KIOCL Limited has been appointed as Director (Prodution & Project) in KIOCL Limited till the date of his superannuation i.e. January 31, 2023.
  9. Chanchal Goswami, General Manager (GM), Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) has been appointed as Director (Technical) in BCCL till the date of his superannuation i.e. February 28, 2022.
  10. Ashok Kumar Kalra, Executive Director, Engineeers India Limited (EIL) has been appointed to the post of Director (HR), EIL till the date of his superannuation i.e. March September 30, 2023.
  11. Satyendra Nath Tiwari, General Manager, Coal India Limited (CIL) has been appointed to the post of Director (Marketing), CIL till the date of his superannuation i.e.April 30, 2022.
