Bihar: Three IAS officers assigned additional responsibilities

The Bihar government has undertaken a bureaucratic restructuring, redistributing the responsibilities previously held by senior IAS officer Arunish Chawla among other IAS officers. This move comes after his release from cadre duties in preparation for his central deputation.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

1. Arvind Kumar Chaudhary (IAS:1995:BH), Principal Secretary, Finance Department with additional charge of the posts of Principal Secretary, Vigilance, Examination Controller, Bihar State Joint Entrance Examination Board and Enquiry Commissioner, GAD, has been given additional charge of the posts of Principal Secretary, Planning and Development Department, Secretary, Bihar State Planning Board and Project Director, Bihar Aapda Punarwas Evam Punarnirman Society (BAPEPS).’
2. Santosh Kumar Mall (IAS:1997:BH), Principal Secretary, Information Technology Department with additional charge of the posts of Managing Director, Bihar State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (BELTRON), Enquiry Commissioner, GAD and OSD in the Office of Resident Commissioner, New Delhi, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department. He has been given additional charge of MD, Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited. He will continue to remain in the charge of Enquiry Commissioner, GAD and OSD in the Office of Resident Commissioner, New Delhi.
3. Abhay Kumar Singh (IAS:2004:BH), Secretary, Tourism Department with additional charge of the posts of Managing Director, COMFED and Chairman, Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation Limited, has been given additional charge of the posts of Secretary, Information Technology and MD, BELTRON.
