Bihar Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar (IAS:1984:BH) has been given another six months extension till Fabruary 28, 2021 in view of Bihar assembly elections and Covid-19 situation in the state. The central government communicated to the state government on July 02. He was set to complete his tenure on August 31.
Kumar, who took over the charge as Bihar’s chief secretary on May 31, 2018, was set to retire on February 29, 2019, after completion of 60 years of age but he was given six months extension after getting nod from the centre.
