Attendance in central government offices saw a marginal increase as some more officers of Deputy Secretary and above reported to work on Monday. Due to absence of public transport, only those officers and staff who have their own vehicles, joined office.

Under revised guidelines for on-going guidelines, the Home Ministry had said that all central ministries/departments and their subordinate office will work with 100 attendance of deputy secretary and above rank officers. The remaining staff is to have 33% attendance as per requirement.

Officers of the rank of Joint Secretary and above had joined office on April 13.

The revised guidelines have made it mandatory for all work places to have arrangements for temperature screening and sanitizers at convenient places.

The guidelines also directed that the workplaces should have a one hour gap between shifts and lunch hour should be staggered, to ensure social distancing. It also prohibits large meetings and says that use of staircase should be preferred over lifts.
