The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Friday (18.08.2023) approved the appointment of Anurima Sharma (IRS-C&IT:2010) as the Private Secretary to Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Rural Development. This appointment comes following the curtailment of her tenure as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs.
As per the order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Anurima Sharma has been appointed to the post until September 5, 2026, which represents the balance period of her four-year central deputation tenure. The appointment is on a co-terminus basis with the Minister or until he ceases to function as the Private Secretary to the Minister, or until further orders are issued, whichever occurs first.
