Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government on Friday (July 17, 2026) appointed Anurag Mishra (IFS:1993:TN) as the Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB).
According to a Government Order issued by the Environment, Climate Change and Forests Department, Mishra has been appointed against the existing vacancy.
Mishra is currently serving as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Special Secretary (Environment, Climate Change) in the Environment, Climate Change and Forests Department, Tamil Nadu Secretariat.
The appointment has been made under the provisions of the Appointment of Chairman and Member Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board Rules, 2019.
