Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government on Saturday (August 29, 2026) issued transfer and posting orders for four senior IPS officers, with the appointment of Anshuman Yadav (IPS:1998:MP) as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Intelligence emerging as the most significant development.
Yadav, who was serving as Director, Sports & Youth Affairs, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Intelligence, with the additional charge of ADGP, Cyber.
Chanchal Shekhar (IPS:1995:MP), ADGP, SAF, with additional charge of SISF, PHQ, has been transferred and posted as Director, Sports & Youth Affairs.
Meanwhile, Anil Kumar (IPS:1993:MP), Special DG, Women Security, PHQ, has been given the additional charge of Special DG, AJAK (Scheduled Caste Welfare), PHQ, Bhopal.
D Srinivas Verma (IPS:1997:MP), ADGP, Narcotics, with additional charge of ADGP, STF, has been given the additional charge of ADGP, SAF and ADGP, SISF, PHQ, Bhopal.
The appointment of Anshuman Yadav comes ahead of the retirement of incumbent Intelligence Chief A Sai Manohar (IPS:1995:MP), who is scheduled to retire on August 31, 2026. The order was issued two days before his retirement, filling the upcoming vacancy in the Intelligence wing.
