Ajay Kumar Garg’s tenure as DCO/DCR Delhi extended

The ACC has approved the extension of IAS officer Ajay Kumar Garg’s central deputation as Director of Census Operations and Director of Citizen Registration, Delhi, till September 30, 2027.

The central deputation tenure of Ajay Kumar Garg (IAS:2010:AGMUT) as Director of Census Operations (DCO) and Director of Citizen Registration (DCR), Delhi, has been extended beyond December 31, 2025.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (December 31, 2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of Garg’s deputation tenure up to September 30, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
